About e-Bikes
Based at Priors Marston we are lucky enough to have a supremely pretty and quiet part of Warwickshire, Northamptonshire & Oxfordshire countryside in which to cycle.
Our electric bikes are comfortable and reliable with a large battery range. If you have never used an electric bike before, you use it in exactly the same way as a pedal bike. The difference is that when you pedal, the motor kicks in to assist you, great for hills!
You can switch off the motor and ride the bike as a conventional bike which extends the range you can ride with the battery. If self guided we have mapped out some routes and, as we develop the business, loads more routes will be added including Europe.
We can also book you into local B&Bs and hotels so that you can extend your routes by staying overnight.
How safe is an electric bike?
It is as safe to ride an electric bike as a conventional one – and easier. You are less likely to wobble & swerve in the road when you are tired as you have battery power to help you.
We would suggest wearing a helmet but that is not a legal requirement.
In Great Britain, if you’re 14 or over you don’t need a licence to ride electric bikes that meet certain requirements, and they don’t need to be registered, taxed or insured.
On an overnight trip the bikes have to be stored indoors and locked up with the batteries removed.
Prices
You can pick your bikes up from us and enjoy a cup of coffee while seeing how it works. We will happily take you on an acclimatising ride, but really e-Bikes are just ordinary bikes with the extra help when you want it. And then you are free to go where you want. We will happily help with suggestions too and you can enjoy a pub lunch on the way.
